A Night with Socorro Tequila at Jorge's
On Thursday, April 23rd, Jorge’s hosted our second Tequila Tasting Dinner, and it did not disappoint.
We set out to build a night around tequila done right, and that’s exactly how this one played out. Our Socorro Tequila Dinner brought a full room, steady energy, and a lineup that kept people locked in from the first pour to the last bite.
The evening opened with a shrimp cocktail paired with a La Batanga. Bright, citrusy, and just enough bite from the tequila to wake everything up. It was a clean start. Nothing heavy, just fresh flavors that let the Socorro shine without getting lost.
Second course shifted gears. Texas Carbon enchiladas hit the table, rich and smoky, with that deep, comforting flavor you want in the middle of a meal like this. Alongside it, the Jalisco Rita brought balance. Slightly tart, a little sweet, and smooth enough to keep things moving without slowing the table down. This was the point where conversations picked up and people really settled in.
We closed things out with a dulce de chocolate bundt cake and an Espresso Martinez. Dark, bold, and just indulgent enough. The espresso notes played off the chocolate in a way that felt natural, not overdone. It was a strong finish and exactly what the night needed.
What made the evening stand out wasn’t just the pairings. It was the way people leaned into it. Sharing sips, comparing favorites, asking questions. It felt relaxed, but intentional.
That’s the goal with these dinners. Good food, good tequila, and a room that feels alive.
